What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers on this page are soft gels placed under the skin to support volume where folds or hollows bother you. Most modern facial fillers used in clinics are based on hyaluronic acid — a sugar already found in skin that can hold water and add soft support. The gel sits in the planned layer of tissue; it does not relax muscles the way botulinum toxin (“Botox”) does.

Nasolabial folds and marionette lines deepen as volume shifts with age. Hyaluronic acid filler can support those creases when a doctor maps a light, even plan. The goal is softer folds that still move with your smile — decided at consult, not from a photo filter.

Some people want a little more definition; others want balance after asymmetry. Lip filler is planned millimetre by millimetre. You approve the map before treatment. If lips are not your priority, say so — the consult can stay on cheeks or folds instead.

How it works
Four steps in one visit.
Step 1

Our doctor assesses your face, talks through your goals, and confirms whether a hyaluronic acid dermal filler plan suits you. You hear which areas are in play and which are better left alone.
Step 2
Plan
The chosen areas are cleansed and marked. You approve each spot before the doctor starts. Numbing cream or other comfort options can be used; ask at the consult.
Step 3
Treat
The doctor places the filler in the planned areas with small injections or a fine cannula as appropriate. Only a licensed doctor performs every filler injection at Venus.
Step 4
Aftercare
The doctor explains how to care for the areas before you go. You leave with clear dos and don’ts for the hours and days ahead.
What to expect and aftercare
Time. Session length depends on how many areas you and the doctor decide to treat. The consult comes first; your doctor will say what is typical for your plan.
Downtime. Downtime is usually minimal. Mild redness, tenderness, or slight swelling can show for a short while. Tiny bruises can appear. Results settle over the following days; timing varies. Nothing on this page promises a specific look or duration.
Before. Come with clean skin if you can. Bring a list of medicines and recent facial treatments or fillers. Ask every question at the consult.
After. Follow what your doctor says for your plan.
• Keep the areas clean.
• Avoid rubbing or pressing hard on the treated zones for the period the doctor names.
• Skip heavy exercise, saunas, and intense heat if advised.
• Contact the clinic if anything feels off — especially unusual pain, blanching, or vision changes (seek urgent care as directed).

What are dermal fillers made of?
